MissionOur organization is an innovative career education inner city youth space solution that targets underprivileged, at-risk inner city youth and aims to turn lives around through connecting these marginalized youth to the thoroughbred racing industry. Creating awareness of the thoroughbred industry within the youth demographic and raising funds for programming are two main objectives of our mission. As such, our programs seek to help foster better outcomes at the intersection of poverty, crime, drugs, single-parent households, incarceration, unemployment, social and criminal justice. We believe that career education counseling, internships and road maps should be a civil right for inner city youth. In addition, we create awareness through websites, aggregating news and links about the industry, aggregating links and news about the current economic, career, social and civil rights of inner city at-risk youth. Continuing we execute proprietary lecture series presentations, speaking engagements, support and assist other lectures that are directional to our mission. Furthermore, we promulgate books, articles, research, social media platforms, podcast, audio and video documentaries about "America's Great Black Jockeys" and ancillary career opportunities in the thoroughbred racing industry aimed at turning disadvantaged inner city youth's lives around. We execute presentations in public grade schools, high schools, colleges, libraries, churches, malls, playgrounds, fast food restaurants and other high traffic areas. speaking engagements. We take (12-17 year-old) inner city youth teams on educational career lecture tours to thoroughbred farms, racing stables, ranches, yearling sales, veterinarian facilities and thoroughbred race tracks across the country. The tours, books, educational materials and lecture venues are free to participants and provide valuable one on one and behind the scenes opportunities for our youth to meet and hear directly from career professionals operating in the thoroughbred racing industry and pose poignant questions . Including owners, trainers, breeders, jockeys, jockey agents, grooms, exercise riders, hot walkers, veterinarians, blood sales agents, race track staff and others. Oliver Lewis Inner City Thoroughbred Jockey Club raises money for operations and activities through donor engagement programs inclusive of matching gifts, fundraisers, promotions, event sponsorship, individual and corporate donor sponsorships and organizing partnerships across the United States and internationally.
